Previously known as the rc scripts, this is the stable version of the scripts before the 0.9.x major rewrite took place. Until the 0.9.x releases are considered stable (a release without -git on the end), it's the recommended version for new users and everyday use.

Probably the most powerful tool available for making sculptured primitives is now available.

Features powerful and flexible ways to make your starter sculptie from one of eighteen included shapes with full information display on the final sculpt map including a breakdown of the levels of detail and an LOD map for easy UV alignment.

Bake sculpties in Blender with support for linksets, joined meshes, common scales, maintaining scale and center, unique finalise option to optimise your sculpt maps and much more.

User expandible through a special library sculpt map format.

This version has a bug fix for the location issue on joined meshes. This slightly alters how normal builds will work as well. Blender's origin is now the position of the build box, so you need to keep your linkset within linking distance of that.

It also adds the changes suggested by Jerome to make the LSL compatible with Opensim.

Workaround for loop cut issue built into the bake routine. You no longer need to do the snap to pixels to avoid this problem.

New menu option "Object - Scripts - Reset Sculpt Mesh" added - this resets the mesh to the data in it's sculpt map.

UV points no longer snap to pixels when Clean LODs is off

Clean LODS option was sometimes disabled when it shouldn't be - fixed

Fixed install.py and improved the default settings when using a sculpt map file as the shape when adding a sculpt mesh.

Cleaned up the readme.txt a bit.

Minor fix to allow 8192 pixel sculpt maps to be created from add sculpt mesh and sculptify. eg 23 x 11 with 1 level of subdivision and Clean LODs off. This used to work, but got broken during the implementation of sculptify due to a silly mistake on my part - I'd set the pixel limit at 4096. So all the 'organic' map sizes should work again now (64 x 128, 32 x 256, 16 x 512) with the correct maximum size of 8192 pixels.

No one got back to me on the Ubuntu path issue, so I've gone with what I believe is correct.

The other changes in this version are detailed below. There's a couple of bug fixes and a couple of usability tweaks.

Just a small update this time. I found a minor bug in finalise which affected torus seam finding.

There's good news for 64 bit Windows users as well. I've got a few confirmed reports that the 32 bit Windows version of Blender will work correctly with the latest Primstar 0.9.x releases on Vista 64 and Windows 7.

Further improvements to Sculptify - now supports any mesh generating objects. This means it'll convert curves without needing to convert to a mesh first. It no longer deletes the original object that was sculptified. Mesh objects have a sculptie UV layer added, all other types will result in a new sculpt mesh object added to the scene.

Also fixed a small bug in finalise which prevented the sculpt type detection from working correctly.

Note: reuploaded to add deselection of original object after Sculptification. And again to fix a bug with that.

Remember how I said the 0.9.x series was feature complete? Well thanks to Gaia Clary sending me a modified version of her nurbs to sculptie script, we've got another new feature.

There's a new option Object - Scripts - Sculptify Object which while still under development in the nurbs branch of git, I thought worth merging to a 0.9.24 release.

It will convert a nurbs object to a mesh, create a UV unwrapping, add a sculpt map image (if the script can work out the size), so basically you are then ready to bake.
