*Please* make a GUI way of installing primstar on Mac!

Greetings,

*Please* make a GUI way of installing primstar on Mac!  I have read about two or three ways to install primstar and none are drag and drop.

I set the scripts folder location in 2.5 and put the primstar folder there, but it isn't showing in export.

Jass-2 for Mac ...

Hi,

As soon as our new Mac arrives, we will start with examining why primstar is currently such a pain on Mac and hopefully the problems can be sorted out at the end Wink And we (machinimatrix) will eventually make a Jass-2 for Mac distribution. I just can not tell you the release date of Jass-2-OSX as nobody knows how complicated it will be to get it done at the end.

Halleluja, that would be

Halleluja, that would be great, an instant-just-pour-hot-water-on-it-package would finally help me to get started...

Glad to hear that a Mac is on

Glad to hear that a Mac is on the way Gaia! In the meantime, I'm happy to help with install issues on the Mac.

Mac user

I'm currently using Primstar on my Mac, and i can upload all my creations in SecondLife, the only big limitation is the inability to upload a whole project just in one shot..

Installing Primstar

I've been referred here by 'Murgy', on the Blender site, who responds to my request for an accurate file-path to where I can install your Primstar scripts so that Blender can Import them, by saying: 'Unfortunately, I don’t really know the answer to this one. I’ve heard that Mac users often have trouble with installation. Your best bet is probably to go to the forums on Domino’s site and ask for help there. The people who frequent the forums there are a lot more knowledgeable about this sort of problem than I am.'

I don't see why this is turning out to be such a problem. The file-path for installation that he gives is: Mac: /Applications/blender/blender.app/Contents/MacOS/.blender/scripts/

which seems wrong, since the third term, /blender.app, is the application itself: launching the application doesn't provide any access to a location called /Contents that I can see.

So, please: could some kind soul just provide a file-path to a location on my hard disc where I can place the Primstar folder I downloaded, in such a way that the Blender File/Import command can see it?

I'm no expert, so perhaps I don't see the difficulties involved in specifying the right file-path... well,  forgive me, but I don't! Please help.

if you right click the app,

if you right click the app, and 'show contents' up comes a finder window with the app contents. Hope that helps

1. Primstar 1 doesn't work in

1. Primstar 1 doesn't work in blender 2.5

2. is it really that hard to copy paste a file? are all mac users retarded?

3. please don't waste your time on such an abitrary feature that sub-par sculpt-map makers will user.
