Why won't this bake? Simple seeming object

I'm using Blender 2.49, Primstar 1.0.

I've made what seems to me to be a bakeable (is that word?) object that won't bake.

It's a simple extrusion of a letter B, with the outline laid down with CTRL-click in an empty mesh, extruded, and the holes filled by hand. There are no hidden inside faces, and the normals are correctly oriented.

It's essentially a long rectangular tunnel bent into the shape of a B. (I tried making it by extruding along a path, but the shape of the curve produces twists that can't be corrected.)

I've tried Sculptify and Bake, and also unwrapping the object by hand. This object seems very simple to me, and well within Primstar's capabilities. If anyone is willing to look at the file and tell me what's wrong, I would appreciate it.

it does not bake because the

it does not bake because the uv map is wrong.

i think, you created the object by extruding ? Then you applied sculptify objects ? probably you did that... Well, i tried it too and i failed. I would say the sculptify objects does not work in all cases. You should not rely on that (in my opinion). But when you start with a sculpty cylinder and bend it into your form you will get a working sculptie.
