Does anyone know a way to evenly space verts along and edgeloop? Or for that matter, evenly space several edgeloops between two specified edgeloops?

the GEOM TOOL

The geom tool brings you a lot of usefull functions. Among these you find the distribution functions which probably will do what you want. You find it in the middle of the document (search for "align, distribute")
