As most of you are no doubt aware, I've got carpal tunnel syndrome in my mouse wrist which is preventing me from working. I'm still doing what I can on the Primstar scripts, but having been on sick leave since the beginning of the year, I have very little income. Your donations really do make a big difference and for the next week Gaia Glary and the Machinimatrix crew will match any donations made (up to a total of $1000). So if you find the scripts valuable, now is an ideal time to make a donation at the Machinimatrix site

As an added incentive, if we manage to max out the Machinimatrix contribution I'll add my avatar script to the Primstar repository. This script reads the installed avatar files for Second Life and creates the avatar.blend file you can download already from this page. This will kickstart the development of that script and it should progress again and I'd hope to have it importing not just the base avatar, but also your Second Life appearance before the end of the year.

David A Wheeler's sloccount already values the import avatar script at just under $8000 USD, and it'll take roughly the same amount of development again to get it to the point where I'm happy. So this really is a great chance to get this powerful script released as open source. If donations aren't looking like a suitable method to support the development, then it's likely that this script will be a chargeable addon to Primstar and it's price will be USD $29.95.

So please, justify the faith in the community I showed releasing my scripts as open source, and make a donation, however small, now.
